Accepted formats

We accept PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, PNG, JPG/JPEG, and PSD files, up to 100MB per file. These are the same formats our upload tool checks for when you attach artwork during checkout, so any file that uploads successfully there is one our production team can work with.

Vector vs. raster

Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, or a vector-based PDF) are strongly preferred for engraving. They scale cleanly to any size and produce crisp, clean cut lines regardless of how large or small your finished piece is. If your artwork includes text, please convert it to outlines (sometimes called "create outlines" or "expand") before uploading so we don't have to guess at fonts you may not have licensed for us to use.

Raster files (PNG, JPG, or PSD) are accepted too, but they need enough resolution to hold up at your finished size — at least 300 DPI measured at the size the piece will actually be produced, not the size on your screen.

Laser engraving art

Laser engraving is a monochrome process. High-contrast black-and-white artwork with clean, defined edges reproduces best. Fine gradients and soft shading are dithered (broken into small dots) to simulate tone, so very subtle gradients can lose detail. If in doubt, simplify your design to bold shapes and lines.

Full-color printing art

For full-color printing, supply artwork at final size and 300 DPI. Both RGB and CMYK color modes are accepted — our team color-corrects for the specific printer and material before running your job.

Don't have print-ready art?

No problem. Choose "Send artwork later" while configuring your product, or place your order first and send artwork afterward using the secure upload link we email you once checkout is complete. Our production team will review what you send and come back to you if anything needs reworking before we run the job.

What happens after you order

Every file is reviewed by our production team before it goes into the queue. If something in your artwork won't reproduce well — too low resolution, a gradient that won't engrave cleanly, text that isn't outlined — we'll email you a revision link rather than run a job we don't think will meet your expectations.
