Choosing a teacher gift

  • From one family: an engraved tumbler or coffee mug gets used every school day.
  • From the whole class: pool together for a journal, portfolio or nameplate.
  • From the school or PTA to every teacher: order one design, such as the school logo and year, on tumblers, pens or keychains, and the price per piece drops as the quantity rises.

Design ideas

  • A thank-you line with the school year, for example "Thank you for a great year ยท 2026 to 2027".
  • The school logo or mascot, for gifts from the school, PTA or booster club.
  • A simple apple, pencil or book motif with a short message.

When to order

Teacher gifts cluster around Teacher Appreciation Week in May, the winter holidays and the last day of school. Start about three weeks ahead. That leaves time to finalize your artwork and approve the proof. Most orders ship 4 to 8 business days after that, and then there's time in transit.

How ordering works

  1. Choose the gift and quantity. Each item carries one design across its whole quantity, and the price per piece drops as the quantity rises. Lower-cost items have a minimum quantity, shown on the product page before you add to cart.
  2. Send your design. Upload your artwork while you order, or choose "Send artwork later" and use the secure link we email after checkout. Production waits until we have it.
  3. Approve your proof. We send a digital proof showing your design on the piece. Nothing is engraved until you approve it.
  4. We engrave, pack and ship. Everything is engraved in our own shop in San Diego County. Most orders ship 4 to 8 business days after your artwork is approved, and each product page shows an estimated ship date for the item and quantity you pick. Shipping is free over a set order total, or you can pick up free at the shop.

Artwork: laser engraving marks one tone, so bold, high-contrast artwork reads best. Send vector files (AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF) with text converted to outlines; PNG, JPG and PSD also work at 300 DPI at the finished size. Our artwork guidelines cover the details, and how ship dates work explains the timing. Artwork that needs rework before it can be engraved may carry a design service fee.

Questions about teacher gifts

Is the engraving included in the price?

Yes. Engraving is included in the price on every product page, with no separate personalization charge.

Is there a minimum order?

Most tumblers, mugs, bottles and journals can be ordered one at a time. Lower-cost items such as pens and keychains have a minimum quantity, shown on the product page.

Can a school or PTA order for every teacher?

Yes. Order one design across the whole quantity and the price per piece drops at each volume break. A free group account adds purchase orders, net terms on request and tax-exempt purchasing.

Can I see the design before you engrave?

Yes. We send a digital proof and wait for your approval. If something needs changing, you ask for a revision and we send a new proof.

What if a gift arrives damaged or engraved wrong?

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with a couple of photos, and we'll remake the piece or refund you at no cost.
