Choosing a retirement gift
- From the company: a desk clock or walnut plaque, presented at the send-off, with the years of service engraved.
- From the team: a photo frame holding a team picture, or a journal for whatever comes next.
- From one colleague: an engraved pen and case, a smaller gift that still reads as considered.

What to engrave
The best retirement engravings are specific. Ideas that work well:
- Name, role and years of service, for example "Pat Rivera · Chief Engineer · 1994 to 2027".
- A short line from the team, such as "Thank you for 30 years" or a phrase they always said.
- The company logo, for a gift presented on behalf of the organization.
When to order
Retirement parties are usually planned weeks out, so start about three weeks before the send-off. That leaves time to finalize your artwork and approve the proof. Most orders ship 4 to 8 business days after that, and then there's time in transit.

How ordering works
- Choose the gift and quantity. Each item carries one design across its whole quantity, and the price per piece drops as the quantity rises. Lower-cost items have a minimum quantity, shown on the product page before you add to cart.
- Send your design. Upload your artwork while you order, or choose "Send artwork later" and use the secure link we email after checkout. Production waits until we have it.
- Approve your proof. We send a digital proof showing your design on the piece. Nothing is engraved until you approve it.
- We engrave, pack and ship. Everything is engraved in our own shop in San Diego County. Most orders ship 4 to 8 business days after your artwork is approved, and each product page shows an estimated ship date for the item and quantity you pick. Shipping is free over a set order total, or you can pick up free at the shop.
Artwork: laser engraving marks one tone, so bold, high-contrast artwork reads best. Send vector files (AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF) with text converted to outlines; PNG, JPG and PSD also work at 300 DPI at the finished size. Our artwork guidelines cover the details, and how ship dates work explains the timing. Artwork that needs rework before it can be engraved may carry a design service fee.
Questions about retirement gifts
Is the engraving included in the price?
Yes. Engraving is included in the price on every product page, with no separate personalization charge.
Can the company pay by invoice?
Yes, with a free group account. Request net terms from your group page; once approved, owners and purchasers can choose "Pay by invoice" at checkout.
Can I see the design before you engrave?
Yes. We send a digital proof and wait for your approval. If something needs changing, you ask for a revision and we send a new proof.
Can I pick the gift up instead?
Yes. Choose local pickup at checkout and collect it free at our San Diego County shop. We email you when it's ready.
What if a gift arrives damaged or engraved wrong?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with a couple of photos, and we'll remake the piece or refund you at no cost.
