Choosing a gift

Who orders
We work with military commands and first responder departments around San Diego County and ship nationwide. Units and departments often order one design for a whole group, such as a unit crest and year, while families order a single piece for a retirement or a memorial.
A free group account gives a command or department shared orders and artwork, purchase orders and net terms on request, and tax-exempt purchasing.
What to engrave
- Rank, name, and years of service, for example "MSgt J. Rivera · USMC · 1999 to 2027".
- Unit or station crest, with the unit name.
- Dates and locations of service, or a line from a retirement ceremony.
Official seals and emblems need to come from you as artwork you have the right to use. A clean, single-color version engraves best.
When to order
Retirement and change-of-command ceremonies are set well ahead, so start about three weeks before the date. That leaves time for artwork, the proof, production and transit.

How ordering works
- Choose the gift and quantity. Each item carries one design across its whole quantity, and the price per piece drops as the quantity rises. Lower-cost items have a minimum quantity, shown on the product page before you add to cart.
- Send your design. Upload your artwork while you order, or choose "Send artwork later" and use the secure link we email after checkout. Production waits until we have it.
- Approve your proof. We send a digital proof showing your design on the piece. Nothing is engraved until you approve it.
- We engrave, pack and ship. Everything is engraved in our own shop in San Diego County. Most orders ship 4 to 8 business days after your artwork is approved, and each product page shows an estimated ship date for the item and quantity you pick. Shipping is free over a set order total, or you can pick up free at the shop.
Artwork: laser engraving marks one tone, so bold, high-contrast artwork reads best. Send vector files (AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF) with text converted to outlines; PNG, JPG and PSD also work at 300 DPI at the finished size. Our artwork guidelines cover the details, and how ship dates work explains the timing. Artwork that needs rework before it can be engraved may carry a design service fee.

What size flag does a display case hold?
It depends on the case. Each product page lists the flag size it fits, so check it against your flag before you order.
Can you engrave our unit crest or department emblem?
Yes, when you send it as artwork you have the right to use. A clean, single-color version engraves best.
Can a command or department pay by purchase order?
Yes, with a free group account: purchase orders, net terms on request, and tax-exempt purchasing.
Can I see the design before you engrave?
Yes. We send a digital proof and wait for your approval. If something needs changing, you ask for a revision and we send a new proof.
What if a gift arrives damaged or engraved wrong?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with a couple of photos, and we'll remake the piece or refund you at no cost.
